We would like you to meet Kaylee Keegan, a Class of 2026 senior at Erie High School! Proudly wearing colors of red and black, Kaylee has represented the Erie/Prophetstown Panthers with excellence both on and off the court. Her high school journey is filled with achievements, memories, and plenty of personality that make her truly stand out.
Kaylee has definitely made her mark in athletics and academics. She was named 1st Team All-Conference in volleyball, helped her team reach the Sweet 16, and celebrated an undefeated conference season. She also earned recognition as Sauk Valley Player of the Week — a true testament to her hard work and dedication. Alongside athletics, she’s excelled in the classroom, consistently making honor roll.
To further get to know Kaylee, we asked her about some of her favorites, in and out of school. Throughout high school, some of her favorite events have been the homecoming games and class olympics that the student council puts on every year. They certainly do a great job planning events that bring the whole school together with pride and energy. A favorite teacher of hers? Ms. Windish! Although the spanish teacher is now retired from Erie High, Kaylee says she remains her favorite for pushing her to learn and expand her spanish while still making class enjoyable. Her favorite high school memory as a whole is after-prom at the trampoline park! Some favorites of hers outside of high school, including her favorite restaurant and go-to meal are Biaggi’s and mexican food — especially steak tacos with rice!

For her senior portraits, Kaylee envisioned a mix of beauty and flair. She wanted summer and fall sessions that showcased her personality: wildflowers and grassy fields. A sunset at the lake also holds special meaning to her, making it the perfect backdrop for timeless images. And of course, volleyball — her sport and passion — had to be included.
Working with Kaylee was such a joy. She brought her adventurous spirit, sassy charm, and natural beauty to every session. Her portraits reflect not just who she is as a senior, but the bright future ahead of her.

Kaylee described herself as “quiet but vocal in certain situations” with a sassy personality that her friends love. She brings a balance of thoughtfulness and spunk that makes her both a loyal teammate and a fun friend to be around.
She is no stranger to adventure! From parasailing and white-water rafting to zip-lining, she embraces daring experiences with excitement. When she’s not chacing adrenaline, she enjoys coloring, organizing, and traveling — especially trips to the beach or anywhere warm.
Family is incredibly important to Kaylee. She has two brothers — her twin and her little brother — and together with her parents, they make up a close-knit family of five. Adding to the fun is Lucy, their lovable mini Bernadoodle, who completes the Keegan crew.

Looking ahead, Kaylee plans to pursue a career in the medical field — a path that aligns perfectly with her caring and determined nature. To further her education, Kaylee is still looking at all the amazing options of colleges and universities. As a child, she once dreamed of becoming a veterinarian, showing that helping others has always been at the heart of who she is.
We’re so excited to be able to celebrate Kaylee Grace Keegan and all she’s accomplished at Erie High School. Congratulations, Kaylee — we can’t wait to see where life takes you next!
