Introducing one of Prophetstown High’s, Class of 2026 seniors, Gus Schultz! Wearing red and black to represent the Erie Prophetstown Panthers, Gus takes pride in his academic and athletic achievements.

During his time at Prophetstown High, Schultz has qualified to State on the track and field team three times as well as once on the cross-country team, to which he says making it to State the first time has to be one of his favorite memories of high school. Not only does he excel at running, but he was also on the football team as they made it into the playoffs in 2024. Gus would like to say to any freshmen coming in, to put in the work for what you really want! Whatever that may be.

Wanting to pursue a career in Physical Therapy after high school, Gus wishes to go to school, although he hasn't decided on where just yet. I’m sure wherever he decides to go, his parents and older brother, Paxton, will continue to push and support him in any decision he may make! Fishing is Gus’s way of winding down after a busy week, but I’m sure snuggling with Mabel, his rottweiler is a perk as well.

When asked how to describe his personality, Gus used tall, funny, outgoing, and honest. The NOP team would like to add ‘laid back’ to that list of words, as he was willing to do whatever poses Nicole wanted to try out! Gus’s senior portrait session took us to some private family land that provided the perfect backdrop for his photos. The property featured beautiful natural landscapes, colors, and a pond that showcased Gus’s love of the outdoors and fishing. Exploring the area and getting to know Gus made for a fun afternoon. We kept our time together short but packed with awesome senior portraits, so Gus could head out to go camping with his friends—another activity he enjoys!

Thank you, Gus, and family for trusting NOP to take your senior photos! We wish for the best in whatever endeavors Gus decides to take on, and we know he will do great things after graduating! Best of luck!
